The Oreja de Van Gogh is a Spanish music band formed in 1996 in San Sebastián, Spain. The band initially consisted of Pablo Benegas, Álvaro Fuentes, Xabi San Martín, Haritz Garde, and Amaia Montero. Their musical style combines Latin American pop, pop rock, and emotionally charged lyrics. They became known for albums like "El viaje de Copperpot" and "Lo que te conté mientras te hacías la dormida". In 2008, singer Amaia Montero left the band and was replaced by Leire Martínez. They have won numerous awards and remain one of the most popular bands in the Latin American and Spanish music scene.
