Caribou by Elton John
About the album Caribou
In 1974, Elton John was under pressure as success had invaded his life. The fifth album was recorded in nine days, and immediately Elton John and his band departed for a tour in Japan. For these reasons, the album never received any rave reviews from critics and is considered one of the British songwriter's mediocre works.
However, Caribou reached No. 1 on the Billboard and sold 2,000,000 copies in the U.S. alone.
Nevertheless, Caribou is remembered for the song The Bitch Is Back and the massive success of Don’t Let The Sun Go Down due to its 1991 re-recording with George Michael.
