Metal Rendez-vous by Krokus
About the album Metal Rendez-vous
In 1980 the Swiss hard rockers Krokus would find success with their fourth album, Metal Rendez-vous. The major change in the band was the arrival of singer Marc Storace, whose voice ideally matched the musical style of this album, a style that acquired a more heavy metal tone.
The album was recorded between October and November 1979 at Studio Platinum One in Switzerland with producer Martin Pearson, while the band itself also participated in it.
Its sound was highly adapted to the style of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and this brought success in Great Britain, where the single "Heatstrokes" reached No. 1 on the heavy metal charts of that era. Of course, the song that was particularly loved was "Tokyo Nights". The album's sales in their home country reached 200,000 copies (!)
