About the album Lunatic

The South African Kongos released Lunatic, their second studio album, at the very end of 2012 from the independent label Tokoloshe, and after the success achieved by the album, came the contract with Epic Records, which re-released it in 2014. The difference between the two editions is the order of the songs.

The Kongos and the musical style of their album move in the realm of alternative rock without missing elements from the musical trend called kwaito, which developed in South Africa during the 1980s and 1990s. The songs of the album are a result of the collaboration of the four Kongos brothers, who also take care of the album's production. The Kongos also had the help of their Greek father John Theodore Kongos, who had some success in the 1970s.

The great success of Lunatic was undoubtedly the single Come With Me Now, which received extensive radio play at the time of its release. The album reached No.39 on the Billboard because of its re-release by Epic.
