About the album Κατά Τον Δαίμονα Εαυτού

The Greek representatives of extreme metal music, Rotting Christ, return to discography with one of the most representative black metal albums released in the second decade of the 21st century. It will be titled Kata Ton Daimona Eaftou, which means according to everyone's God or alternatively "Do what thou wilt".

Sakis Tolis and his band compose ten songs for whose lyrics they use phrases from various languages. Here, amidst the ceaseless black metal riffs, you will hear Greek, Persian, the languages of the Maya and the Inca, Slavic, Babylonian. The highlight comes with the song Iwa Voodoo, which is an exorcism in the language of Haiti (!) All compositions belong to Sakis Tolis except for Cine iubește și lasă, which is a traditional Romanian song.

According to statements by Sakis Tolis, the composer, singer, and guitarist of the band, the purpose of the album was to create a journey into the past and among various cultures.
