Kick  by INXS

The group INXS had started their journey ten years before the release of Kick in 1987 and had built a very good reputation primarily in their homeland, Australia. The sixth album of the Australians is the pinnacle of their career. It contains compositions that are balanced between pop and the mainstream rock of that era. The producer of the album was Chris Thomas, with whom they had started collaborating from their previous studio work.

Kick would come and turn them into global rock stars. We are now in the era of MTV and the video clips accompanying each single, and thus the work is done to the maximum without, of course, diminishing the value of the songs of the entire album.

20,000,000 people were convinced to buy Kick all around the world. Just the fact that Kick went gold in Hong Kong (!) shows the commercial impact the album had.
