About the album Lust For Life

Lust For Life is the second album by Iggy Pop and, like his debut, it will also be released in 1977. The album is another collaboration between Pop and his friend David Bowie, who writes the music for seven out of the nine songs on the album. The lyrics are mainly by Iggy Pop. Bowie, along with Pop, also takes on the production of the album with Colin Thurston as the sound engineer.

The album was recorded immediately after the end of the promotional tour for The Idiot, Iggy Pop's first album. The duo of Bowie and Pop returned to Berlin and within eight days - according to Iggy Pop himself - they wrote and recorded Lust For Life. On guitars, they have Carlos Alomar and Ricky Gardiner, who writes the music for Iggy Pop's most popular song, The Passenger, which will not be released as a single at the time of Lust For Life's release, but will be the B-Side of Success.

Lust For Life is considered and is one of the best albums of Iggy Pop's career. Its total sales are estimated to be around 100,000.
