About the album The Devil You Know
The trio Tony Iommi, Ronnie James Dio, and Geezer Butler along with Vinny Appice (drums) form Heaven & Hell and release The Devil You Know. The name of the group comes from the eponymous 1980 album by Black Sabbath.
The idea for the album came from the recording of three new songs that accompanied the collection Black Sabbath: The Dio Years in 2007. The collaboration went well, and thus in 2009, we had The Devil You Know.
This was destined to be the last studio album for Dio.
