Halford III: Winter Songs  by Halford

Rob Halford and his band, Halford, took time in 2008 and 2009 to record their third album, Halford III: Winter Songs, an album whose ten songs are dedicated to winter and mainly the Christmas celebration (!)

Out of the ten songs on the album, four are compositions by Rob Halford and the guitarist and producer of the album, Roy Z. The remaining six are heavy metal renditions of classic Christmas songs, such as We Three Kings, O Come, All Ye Faithful, or O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. The album's title comes from the ballad Winter Song, which was performed as a duet by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson in 2008. The album's single was Get Into The Spirit.

The approximately 1500 copies sold in the U.S. do not place it among the commercially successful ventures of the Judas Priest singer.
