About the album Hit And Run
The purely British female heavy metal band Girlschool released their second album, Hit And Run, in 1981, and as the NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) was in its prime, the album reached No. 5 in Britain.
Girlschool took two months to write and record the album: December 1980 and January 1981. This particular album was the most commercially successful album of Girlschool as it reached No. 5 in the United Kingdom. Hit And Run also made an impression in Canada, where it sold 50,000 copies.
Vic Maile was the producer of Hit And Run.
