We Can't Dance by Genesis
About the album We Can't Dance
In 1991, Genesis reached their fourteenth album, which would be a milestone in their long journey, as it would be the last studio album of the band in which Phil Collins would participate as a drummer and singer. The title: We Can't Dance. In the minds of most of the band's fans, it would be, essentially, the farewell album of this great band.
We Can't Dance was one of the band's biggest commercial successes. Its sales have reached nearly 12,000,000 copies worldwide. Notably, in Germany alone, the album achieved 2,500,000 sales (!)
Despite the commercial appeal it had, the six singles it released, and an exceptionally rich tour production in the USA and Europe, the reviews it received were, at best, mediocre.
