Livin' In The City by Fun Lovin’ Criminals
About the album Livin' In The City
Livin' In The City is the fifth studio album by the American band Fun Lovin' Criminals, which was released on August 16, 2005. It was recorded at The Magic Shop studio in New York in just one week (February 14-20, 2005). It is considered a "love letter" to New York, with the lyrics referring to the beauties, hardships, and daily life of the city.
The album combines the band's signature style with elements of hip-hop, rock, jazz, latin, and blues. It includes tracks such as I Love Livin' In The City, City Boy, Mi Corazon, and Ballad Of NYC, which contains elements from the classic theme of the movie Love Story (Where Do I Begin). The single Mi Corazon stands out for its intense latin rhythm, serving as an autobiographical story of the singer Huey Morgan about a lost love.
Livin' In The City reached No. 57 on the UK charts.
