About the album You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore, Vol. 2

You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore, Vol. 2, also known as The Helsinki Concert, is considered by many to be one of Frank Zappa's top live recordings. It was recorded on September 22-23, 1974, in Helsinki, Finland (Kulttuuritalo) and released in 1988. Although it is presented as a single concert, it actually comes from the editing of two (possibly three) performances.

It features one of the most skillful ensembles Zappa ever had, with George Duke (keyboards), Napoleon Murphy Brock (saxophone/vocals), Ruth Underwood (percussion), Tom Fowler (bass), and Chester Thompson (drums).

Highlights: Montana (Whipping Floss), after the persistent demand of a drunken spectator for the song Whipping Post by the Allman Brothers, Zappa improvised by changing the lyrics of Montana. Inca Roads, the performance here formed the basis for the version on the album One Size Fits All. Satumaa, the band plays a traditional Finnish tango in honor of the local audience.
