About the album Bone Machine
After five years of recording silence - during which he worked on the soundtrack for the movie "Last Night On Earth" - Tom Waits returns with an album that is extremely experimental in sound but essentially rock. The 1992 Bone Machine is his eleventh album and was largely created in collaboration with his wife, Kathleen Brennan.
Some distinguished guests passed through the studio, including David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, bassist Les Claypool, and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. One of the album's songs was covered by the Ramones. It was I Don't Wanna Grow Up, which was also featured on the soundtrack of the movie "Fight Club" in 1999.
Bone Machine reached No. 176 on the Billboard chart, but in Great Britain, it reached No. 26. It won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.
