About the album Introduce Yourself

Introduce Yourself was released in April 1987 by Slash Records, marking Faith No More's second album and was the last with singer Chuck Mosley before the arrival of Mike Patton.

The recording took place over two weeks at Masha and Rakad studios in San Francisco and Los Angeles in mid-1986, with producers Steve Berlin and Matt Wallace. Musically, the album is considered one of the cornerstones of funk metal. It combines punk energy with funk rhythms, "sharp" guitars and Mosley's characteristic rap-style vocals.

The singles that stood out were We Care A Lot, a re-recording since it was also on Faith No More's first album, Anne's Song, and Chinese Arithmetic. Although it did not achieve immediate commercial success in the U.S., the album gained acceptance in Europe and the United Kingdom.
