About the album Body Count

The album Body Count in 1992 was clearly a surprise for many reasons: behind the band was Ice-T, known for his work with N.W.A. (one of the pioneers of gangsta rap), the sound was something in thrash metal and crossover, while all the other members of Body Count were some guys Ice-T knew from school.

Ice-T proceeded to create this band because of his love for rock music, which existed beyond his involvement with hip hop. In this way, he combines his two favorite music genres, and we have a very remarkable rap metal album.

The album caused waves of outrage in conservative America due to its extremely provocative lyrics that overflow with hatred. In the U.S.A., it sold 500,000 copies.
