About the album King For A Day... Fool For A Lifetime

In 1995, it had been three years since the last album release of Faith No More. Thus, in March, King For A Day... Fool For A Lifetime was released. The album is the first in which guitarist Jim Martin, who was one of the founding members of the band, did not participate. His position was taken by Trey Spruance.

The album balances between several musical genres, mainly based on metal, which at that time was undergoing revision and change, while there are songs like the third single of the album, which is - musically - something between soul and funk. This eclecticism of different genres confused the audience more than it attracted their interest.

King For A Day... Fool For A Lifetime reached No. 36 in the U.S., while its fate was much better in Britain, as it reached No. 5 there.
