About the album Out Οf This World

The fourth studio album, Out Of This World from 1988, by the Swedish band Europe with No.19 on the Billboard, seems to have succeeded in achieving the goal set by Europe, which was to maintain the appropriate conditions to establish their career in the United States following the commercial success that The Final Countdown of 1986 had there.

To achieve this, they noticeably changed the musical style of their band and from the purely European heavy metal they played on their first two albums and the glam metal-hard rock of the third, they reached the AOR of the fourth album. The producer of Out Of This World was the American Ron Nevison. The worldwide promotion of the album began early in the summer of 1988 with the band touring alongside Def Leppard in the U.S. The tour had its ups and downs. From a concert in front of an audience of 60,000 people in Mumbai, India (!), to the cancellation of scheduled appearances in Australia and half-empty stadiums in Germany.

The worldwide sales of Out Of This World have exceeded 1,500,000 copies.
