Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in 1979 in Uppsala. Known for their distinctive blend of melodic hard rock and aggressive energy, the band took off with the release of the album "The Final Countdown" in 1986. The title track of the album became a global hit and continues to be an anthem of rock music. The original lineup of the band included singer Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bassist Peter Olsson, and drummer Tony Reno. Over the years, Europe experimented with various styles but remained one of the most iconic bands of the European rock scene.
