About the album Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory
The New Yorkers Dream Theater in their second album Images And Words in 1992 present the song Metropolis—Part I: "The Miracle And The Sleeper". No one could have predicted then that the continuation of the song would be an entire album titled Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory in 1999.
The album is a concept record and concerns the story of Nicholas, who meets a girl named Victoria and realizes that he was Victoria in a previous life during which Victoria was murdered.
The album did not have commercial success as it was a particularly complex musical creation. In the USA, it reached No. 73.
