About the album Images And Words
Dream Theater released the second album of their career, Images And Dragons, an album highly decisive for their entire career, an album that made them known to the international metal community and not only, as the video clip for the first single of the record, Pull Me Under, was heavily promoted by MTV. Images And Words was a work from 1992.
Apart from its pioneering progressive sound for its time, Images And Dragons is the first album of the band from Boston in which the charismatic James LaBrie is the vocalist. The record was recorded at Bear Tracks Recording Studio and The Hit Factory in New York from October to December 1991. The producer of the album was David Prater, with whom the band members reached extremes due to the differences that arose during the creation of the record.
In order to promote the album, Dream Theater embarked on a tour in the USA, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and even Japan (!), where Images And Dragons has sold over 100,000 copies. From their live performance in London, as part of this tour, the band's first live album, Live At The Marquee, emerged.
