I Can’t Stand Still is Don Henley’s debut after the end of the Eagles. The influences of his former band and his music - especially his latest records - are evident in some places.
Noteworthy is the group of musicians he assembled for the recording. Members of Toto, Danny Kortchmar on various instruments, Ian Russell Wallace (drums), Bill Withers, and Warren Zevon on backing vocals, among others.
The single Dirty Laundry is the most successful single in Henley's entire solo career (No. 3 in the U.S.).
