About the album Homegrown
The Londoners Dodgy, one year after their debut, present Homegrown, an album that moves between alternative rock and britpop, which at that time was starting to emerge as the dominant trend in music matters in Great Britain. The album was released at the end of October 1994. The record label A&M did not hesitate to offer cannabis seeds as a gift included in the first copies of the record.
The eleven songs on the album are the product of collaboration between the three members of the group. The album's opening track, Staying Out For The Summer, stood out as the first single, followed by So Let Me Go Far - one of their biggest hits throughout their career - and the trio of singles was completed with the release of Making The Most Of. Ian Broudie and Hugh Jones were responsible for the album's production.
Homegrown reached No. 28 in Great Britain and went gold.
