Tonight by David Bowie
About the album Tonight
In 1984, David Bowie will try to replicate the huge success of the Let's Dance album from the previous year with Tonight. He will have Iggy Pop by his side in composing many songs, and his duet with Tina Turner in the song Tonight will stand out. Bowie continues here to swirl in the embrace of pop and blue-eyed soul.
Tonight certainly did not have the appeal of Let's Dance, but it contains some of the very good performances and compositions of the White Duke in the 80s with the greatest success being his single Blue Jean.
The album reached No.1 in Britain and No.1 in the USA. It is estimated that the copies it has sold reach 3,600,000 worldwide.
