The Scotsman Al Stewart releases his seventh album titled Year Of The Cat in 1976 and hits the mark as the album reaches No. 5 in the U.S. and there alone achieves 1,000,000 in sales, while also tasting success in Canada and Europe.
The cover is a work of the design team of Hipgnosis, where one can notice the references to cats.
The compositions of the songs all belong to Al Stewart except for the song Year Of The Cat, which he wrote together with Peter Woods. The album is produced by Alan Parsons.
