Many other artists with remarkable careers have chosen to sing some of the compositions from this landmark record for American pop & rock music in their official works.
Tapestry remained on the Billboard Top-200 list for 313 consecutive weeks. It ranks second only behind Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. It was No.1 in the USA for five weeks. Tapestry won four Grammy awards. Grammy for Album of the Year, Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Grammy for Record of the Year (You’ve Got A Friend), and for Song Of The Year (It’s Too Late).
Its sales have steadily surpassed 15,000,000 worldwide.
