About the album Motorcade Of Generosity
The Californians Cake present to the public their first album in 1994, titled Motorcade Of Generosity. The album is a mix of alternative rock, country, and musical experimentation.
Cake themselves took on the production of their debut. The thirty-year-old—at the time—John McCrea is the main composer of the thirteen songs on Motorcade Of Generosity. The album was not a huge commercial success as the best it managed was to reach No.31 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The first single from the album, Rock 'n' Roll Lifestyle, was heard in an IKEA commercial in Sweden (!)
