Buffalo Springfield by Buffalo Springfield
About the album Buffalo Springfield
Buffalo Springfield was the eponymous debut album of the group of American and Canadian musicians, formed in Los Angeles in 1966. In the summer of the same year, the band Buffalo Springfield recorded its first album in two different Hollywood studios. The album was produced by Charles Greene and Brian Stone, who were also the group's managers.
The twelve songs on the album are compositions by Stephen Stills and Neil Young, who were just 21 years old. The songs range between folk rock and mid-'60s pop, while there are also plenty of psychedelic elements. The standout moment of the album was the song For What It's Worth, which was initially released as a single after the album's release, but its success was so great (No.7 on the Billboard) that in the album's reissue in 1967, it was included on the album instead of Baby Don't Scold Me. The main vocalists are the duo of Richie Furay and Stephen Stills, who perform the album's songs either solo or as a duet, while Neil Young also appears on two songs.
Buffalo Springfield reached No.80 on the Billboard.
