Waking Up The Neighbours by Bryan Adams
About the album Waking Up The Neighbours
In September 1991, Canadian rocker Bryan Adams released his sixth studio album titled Waking Up The Neighbours. The album brought him back to the top of the world again, as it had been about seven years since the success he had with Reckless. The initial vinyl release was a double album as it contained 15 songs.
A large part of the album's commercial appeal had to do with the song - and first single - (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, which was heard in the movie "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" in early summer 1991. The airing of the video clip on MTV with characteristic scenes from the movie was relentless.
Another five singles followed, which also fared very well on the charts, while the remaining songs were well-crafted simple rock songs. The production by Mutt Lange is another crucial factor for the 16,000,000 copies sold worldwide.
