About the album Tunnel Of Love
After the Born In The U.S.A. tour, Bruce Springsteen takes a break and returns with Tunnel Of Love in 1987 without the E-Street Band. In reality, he only has Roy Bittan with him on piano and keyboards.
In this album, one wouldn't say that Bruce Springsteen follows the sound he had given in his other works. The subject matter of the songs deals with the ups and downs that love and romance bring to people's lives. The truth is that Bruce Springsteen hadn't accustomed his friends to such romanticism. The difference of his eighth album starts with the photo on the cover with a "proper" Springsteen.
In the U.S., it reached sales of 3,000,000 copies and topped the charts in the U.S., the UK, Canada, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Norway.
