About the album The Poet
In 1981, the "old veteran" of Soul, Bobby Womack, presented the thirteenth album of his career, The Poet, and saw his album climb to No. 1 on the U.S. R&B charts and No. 29 on the main Billboard chart.
The audio result is characterized by perfect adaptation to the black sound of the early '80s. He himself undertook the production.
Three singles stood out: Secrets, If You Think You’re Lonely Now, and Where Do We Go From Here?.
