About the album John Wesley Harding
In 1967, Bob Dylan marks five years of recording presence, and thus reaches his eighth studio album, titled John Wesley Harding. John Wesley Harding is a folk and country musical documentation of the lyrics by this great songwriter.
John Wesley Harding includes songs like All Along The Watchtower, which was covered the following year by Jimi Hendrix, The Ballad Of Frankie Lee And Judas Priest, which gave its name a few years later to one of the greatest heavy metal bands, Judas Priest, and I'll Be Your Baby Tonight, which was successfully covered by Robert Plant in 1990. For these reasons alone, John Wesley Harding is a cornerstone of rock music. Bob Johnston was once again in the production of the album.
John Wesley Harding has gone platinum twice in the United States and rightfully stands among Bob Dylan's best and most important works.
