The Eldritch Dark by Blood Ceremony
About the album The Eldritch Dark
In 2013, the Canadian band Blood Ceremony released their third studio album titled The Eldritch Dark through Metal Blade Records. Musically, this particular album is a mixture of hard rock, doom metal, progressive rock, and psychedelic folk. The latter musical style is primarily supported by the flute of Alia O'Brien, who is also the main performer of the songs.
In reality, the sound outcome of The Eldritch Dark answers the hypothetical question: "What could result if someone combines the 1970s music of Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull?" One only needs to listen to the two-minute instrumental piece Faunus... The album, in the year of its release, captured the interest of many fans of hard rock and heavy metal music. Rolling Stone magazine included it among the twenty best metal albums of 2013. Songs such as Ballad Of Weird Sisters, Witchwood, and Drawing Down The Moon stood out.
The Eldritch Dark reached No. 34 in Finland (!)
