About the album Big Brother & The Holding Company
The eponymous debut of Big Brother & The Holding Company with singer Janis Joplin was one of the pioneering psychedelic albums.
It was recorded in three days and the "complaint" of the band was that the sound of the guitars was too clean, in contrast to their distorted sound at their concerts.
The album barely reached No. 60 on the Billboard and was considered a commercial failure. Today it has a different value.
