The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
About the album The Suburbs
In 2010, the Canadian band Arcade Fire released their third and one of the most remarkable albums of their career, titled The Suburbs, a pure indie rock album, which reached No. 1 in many countries.
The recordings of the album began in 2008 and were completed in early 2010. The production of the album is credited to Arcade Fire, as well as Markus Dravs, with whom they collaborated for the first time. The compositions of the album are credited to all the members of the band. Six singles emerged from the album. The first was The Suburbs and the last was Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains), which was released in April 2012.
The sales of The Suburbs are estimated to have exceeded 1,000,000 worldwide. In Arcade Fire's homeland, Canada, the album went triple platinum, reaching 240,000 copies sold.
