Bohemio by Andrés Calamaro
About the album Bohemio
The Bohemio by Argentine Andrés Calamaro, a 2013 release, becomes the thirteenth studio album of the solo career of the great and multifaceted Argentine artist. Significant, of course, is the production of the album, which was done by Cachorro López.
The record consists of ten compositions, each complementing the other as some songs are low-tempo compositions, others are mid-tempo, and others overflow with rock energy. The title song Bohemio is one of the standout compositions and it was no coincidence that Julio Iglesias (!) performed it with Andrés Calamaro in a jazz/pop adaptation in 2020. The other three singles of the album were Cuando No Estás, Rehenes, and Plástico Fino. The opening song of the album Belgrano is dedicated to Luis Alberto Spinetta, who had died the previous year.
Bohemio is among the greatest works of Andrés Calamaro. Rolling Stones magazine (Argentina edition) placed it at No.1 of the best albums for the year 2013.
