Alta Suciedad by Andrés Calamaro
About the album Alta Suciedad
Argentinian Andrés Calamaro presents in September 1997 his fifth solo album, Alta Suciedad, one of the best Spanish-language rock albums of all time, a legendary album. Calamaro had not released a personal album since 1989.
Alta Suciedad marks the return of Andrés Calamaro as a solo artist in the discography after his participation in the group Los Rodriguez, which had disbanded the previous year. The overwhelming majority of the songs are his own compositions and the album's producer is the American Joe Blaney. Songs that stood out as singles from the album were definitely Loco, Me Arde, and of course Flaca, while four more songs were released as singles.
Alta Suciedad has sold 700,000 copies and is the second best-selling album of Argentine rock.
