About the album Hey Stoopid
Alice Cooper with Hey Stupid reaches the nineteenth studio album of his career. The album is the immediate follow-up to the huge global success of Trash, and everyone is anticipating Alice's, or otherwise Vincent Damon Furnier's, next move. Hey Stupid is released in the summer of 1991 and is recorded between New York and Los Angeles.
Hey Stupid is an album that moves between glam metal and hard rock, but ultimately it proves to be inferior to his previous album despite the participation of names such as Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Vinnie Moore on guitar, Nikki Sixx on bass, and Jim Vallance and Desmond Child in songwriting. The producer of Hey Stupid was Peter Collins.
Reaching No. 47 on the Billboard was rather disappointing for Alice Cooper.
