T. Rex
T. Rex, also known as Tyrannosaurus Rex, was a British rock band formed in 1967 by the charismatic singer and guitarist Marc Bolan. Initially known for its folk psychedelic music under the name Tyrannosaurus Rex, the band was renamed T. Rex in 1970 and developed a new sound that combined elements of glam rock and is considered a pioneer of the genre. Their songs, such as "Get It On" and "Children of the Revolution," achieved enormous success and influenced many later artists. The band disbanded in 1977 after the death of Marc Bolan in a car accident. The musical legacy of T. Rex continues to have a strong impact on the music scene.
