Pulp is a British band that was formed in Sheffield in 1978. Their original name was "Arabacus Pulp". The band is known for their style that combines indie rock and elements of britpop. The leader and main songwriter of Pulp is Jarvis Cocker. They became particularly popular in the '90s with the album "Different Class" which included hits like "Common People" and "Disco 2000". Cocker's lyrics often describe working-class life and social observation. Pulp disbanded in 2002 but reunited for tours in 2011.
