Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987 by singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. The band was a pioneer in the grunge music scene and gained international fame with their second album "Nevermind" in 1991, featuring the iconic track "Smells Like Teen Spirit". The band had a significant influence on the music scene of the '90s and remained active until 1994, when they disbanded following Cobain's death.
