The Frenchman Jean-Michel Jarre has followed a unique path in the realm of contemporary music reality. Beyond the masterful electronic music albums he has created, Jean-Michel Jarre is also known for the incredible and spectacular shows with lights, visual effects, and fireworks he organizes to support his musical work. His first album was the now-legendary Oxygène in 1976, with which he immediately achieved success. Other works include Équinoxe in 1978, Les Chants Magnétiques in 1981, and Oxygène 7–13 in 1997. Another of his legendary works was the live-recorded Les Concerts en Chine in 1982, which was the musical imprint of the first concert performed by a Western artist in communist China. It is estimated that throughout his career, Jean-Michel Jarre has sold over 80,000,000 copies of his works.
