With significant albums such as "Scream Bloody Gore", "Leprosy", and "Symbolic", Death played a pivotal role in shaping the genre. The band was praised for their technical ability, original compositions, and philosophical lyrics. They disbanded in 2001, after the death of Schuldiner.
