Death is an American band formed in 1983 in Orlando, Florida by guitarist and vocalist Chuck Schuldiner. They are considered pioneers of the death metal sound. With significant albums such as "Scream Bloody Gore", "Leprosy", and "Symbolic", Death played a pivotal role in shaping the genre. The band was praised for their technical ability, original compositions, and philosophical lyrics. They disbanded in 2001, after the death of Schuldiner.
