Accept is a German heavy metal band, which was formed in 1976 in Solingen. Its original members included Udo Dirkschneider on vocals, Wolf Hoffmann on guitar, and other musicians. They are considered pioneers of German heavy metal and significantly influenced the 1980s scene. Some of their best-known albums are "Restless and Wild" (1982) and "Balls to the Wall" (1983), which contain tracks that defined the genre, such as "Fast as a Shark" and "Balls to the Wall". Over the decades, the band experienced several lineup changes and periods of hiatus but continued to return with new material and performances, standing out for their dynamic stage presence and influence on metal.
