About the album The Bitch Is Black

Yvonne Fair from Virginia, after collaborating with big names in black music by opening at their concerts, in 1975 producer and composer Norman Whitfield will offer her his songs to release her first album titled The Bitch Is Black.

The album – apart from Whitfield's songs – will include covers of other soul hits of the time.

Despite Fair's remarkable voice, the album will not achieve the success it deserved. Its best position on the charts was No. 55 on Billboard's R&B chart.
