Vaya Con Dios by Vaya Con Dios
About the album Vaya Con Dios
In 1986, an English-speaking group with a Spanish name, Vaya Con Dios, was formed in Brussels, Belgium. It sounds like a joke, but they immediately grabbed the world's attention with their debut, which bore their name and was released in 1988.
Surprisingly, the success did not come in Belgium but occurred in other European countries, such as Finland and Switzerland. Vaya Con Dios offered a well-recorded and polished smooth jazz album from which songs like Don't Cry For Louie and Puerto Rico emerged. A key factor in this masterpiece is Dani Klein's voice, which sings every note with her jazz voice and elevates every song on the album. Additionally, she is also responsible for the production of the album.
Vaya Con Dios has sold 2,000,000 copies worldwide over the years, of which only 25,000 were sold in Belgium (!)
