Lament by Ultravox
About the album Lament
The Ultravox, this British synth-pop band, which emerged from the new wave movement of the late '70s, reached their seventh studio album with the release of Lament in 1984.
Lament was recorded during 1983 and early 1984 at London's Musicfest studio, and the Ultravox band produced the album. The album contains the major European hit Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, which reached No. 3 in Great Britain.
Lament, as an album, was one of the last commercially successful albums of Ultravox. In the United Kingdom, it reached No. 8 and its sales there made it gold. The position it reached on the Billboard was 115, which simply confirmed that the British once again could not conquer the demanding market of the United States of America.
