All That You Can't Leave Behind by U2
About the album All That You Can't Leave Behind
The 12,000,000 copies sold by the tenth studio album of U2 titled All That You Can't Leave Behind place it in the third position among the most commercially successful albums of the Irish band. Thus, the year 2000 marks a resurgence of U2's successful recording efforts.
The album is a return to pure rock forms. The experiments and musical explorations of the previous two albums have been set aside. The selection of singles was carefully curated and led All That You Can't Leave Behind to the No.1 position in approximately twenty countries.
The production of the album was the work of the duo Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois, who once again gave their best and changed the sound of their beloved U2 once more. The cover is a photograph of the band at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. The dominant black and white contrasts with the brightly colored covers of the albums from the '90s.
