About the album All Directions
In 1972, The Temptations released All Directions and reached No.2 on the Billboard. It would be the last time one of their albums reached so high.
The album's major success was the cover of Papa Was a Rollin' Stone, a song that has become established as their own. Initially, the band did not want to include this particular song on their record.
Norman Whitfield was responsible for the production and sound of All Directions.
