With their fourth recording effort, containing recordings from the years 1989 and 1990, the KLF function as a transition from the dance music of the late '80s to the corresponding, but more extreme, '90s.
The White Room began as the soundtrack of a film with the same name that was never made.
The album's success was greater in European countries. In Britain, it reached No. 3.
